  • What is Kufiya Comedy Festival?

    Kufiya Comedy Festival is a three-day immersive cultural experience with comedy, film, music, dance, food and vendor market.

  • When is the Festival?

    May 10th Friday, 11th Saturday, and 12th Sunday. Each day begins at 11:00am with festivities planned until midnight.

  • Where will Kufiya Comedy take place?

    We have partnered with Apprentice Creative Space located at 919 Morrell Avenue, Dallas, TX 75203 to host all of our festivities.

  • Are you accepting volunteers?

    Absolutely! If you would like to volunteer, fill out the this form.

  • How is parking?

    There is a FREE large parking lot on the east side of the Oak Cliff Assembly and plenty of street parking.

  • Where can I get tickets?

    Tickets can be purchased here.

  • Why is it three days?

    We wanted to give back to all of the communities who have made our shows possible. However, that would be impossible to do in a single day. So, we decided to make it three days each representing a different region across Asia. May 10th will be dedicated to South Asia, May 11th (World Kufiya Day) the MENA Region, and May 12th, East/Southeast Asia.

  • Can I purchase tickets at the door?

    At the moment it’s best to purchase tickets in advance here. If you don’t feel comfortable paying online, contact us and we can offer other electronic forms of payment such as (Zelle, Apple Pay, Venmo, Paypal) or you can come to our studio for cash or in-person payments. Space is limited and we value quality over quantity to be able to provide a curated immersive experience for our guests. We currently cannot guarantee availability on the day of.

  • Kufiya Comedy Festival is a non-profit, how are the funds used?

    Kufiya Comedy Festival is a registered 501(c)(3) whose goal is the creation and uplifting of artists, especially those from underrepresented communities. Our funding goes to paying our artists and creating events and projects for local artists. We also use a portion of our proceeds to support overseas artist like The Freedom Theatre.

  • What can I expect at the festival?

    As soon as you walk in, you will be met with the numerous vendors in our street market and the sights and sounds of traditional music and dance. In the afternoon, you will be treated to a curated short film showcase followed by an arts and culture panel made up of members of the community. The evening will have not one, but TWO comedy shows. The early show will have representatives from all of the days’ themes, while the late show will be comprised of comedians of that day’s theme and one Dallas special guest. To close out the night, we will have an afterparty with local/national musician
