The Experience
Kufiya Comedy Festival is a three day multicultural immersive experience in Dallas, TX. It’s a celebration of the wide range of cultures present throughout the continent of Asia and Middle East/North Africa as well as their respective diaspora. Each day will be themed around a particular region and will feature cultural performances, short films, musical & dance acts, stand-up comedy, and local restaurants. The heartbeat of the festival will be in West Village and Violet Crown theatre in Dallas, TX

How we stand out
Diversifying Comedy
Our mission to spotlight artists from underserved communities begins with our lineup!
The festival will equally showcase artists from 4 major groups: Desi/South Asia, MENA, East/SouthEast Asia, and Dallas.
All our performs are hand selected and HALF of our headliners and performers will be women.
Equality
Equality begins with opportunities, and too many artists are not able to attend festivals due to the financial burden they incur.
The comedians can participate in the festival for FREE with no submission fees or costs.
We are alleviating food and lodging costs by partnering with local businesses.
Focusing on Community
As the saying goes, “Think global act local!” We created this festival with our community in mind and how we can best serve them!
Growing the local economy and sharing the hidden gems in Dallas, by partnering with our neighboring businesses to bring them new clientele.
Creating this unique immersive experience allows for our guests to appreciate the nuances of each culture and make new memories and friendships.
